Jane and I traveled to NYC recently. We decided to try Airbnb, which is a service that lets people list their own homes as short-term rentals. As it was our first time in the city, we wanted to experience it as fully as possible. What better way than to stay in Greenwich Village in a beautiful Danish-inspired walk-up? It was located near Washington Square Park, blocks from many great cafes and a short walk to the subway.
The light was gorgeous, with south-facing windows and 18-ft high ceilings. It would be difficult to find a hotel like this for a similar price. The beauty of Airbnb is that you can find a space that suits your taste and style for a price less than a hotel. You can find rentals from a shared-room to the entire home.
The check-in process was easy and the host was a phone-call away. We didn't have any issues or concerns and the space was as described and pictured. We would not hesitate to use Airbnb again.
